Swag Designs for you to use

Having trouble making swag designs? Can't get your swag patterns to work?

The whole focus of this website is my belief that anyone can make great drapery, providing a few simple guidelines are followed.

But I will admit that swags are probably the most difficult items to design and make. Professional workrooms either have templates they use for popular sizes, or more often make the swags from scratch so they're the exact sizes and shapes required for each individual setting.

There are a number of features which need to be done correctly. They're quite obvious, and you probably don't need me to tell you about them, but here they are anyway.

  • The right size
  • The right shape
  • Attractive looking folds

You can make your own swags by following the suggestions on this website. But it will take a lot of trial and error to achieve great looking swags, especially if you've never made any before.

I've been asked many times if there's an easier way to do it than spend hours fiddling about pinning fabrics up to try and get the right results.

Well, now there is!

Professional Swag Designs

We've spent a long time looking into this, and we've prepared some swag designs which you can use for your own projects.

What will the finished swags look like? Here's a photo of a swag made from one of our swag designs. This one is 42 inches wide and 22 inches deep (107cms by 56cms).

To see how it all works we've prepared a demo. All you need to do is download the pdf demo file. It has the details of all the swags and cascades which are included in the product, their sizes and the amount of fabric needed.

One of the swags is available for you to print out, to make sure it works on your printer.

So download the demo, print off the swag designs, follow the instructions and make up a swag using some old fabric. Once you see how easy it is, come back to this page to order the full version.

For just $27 you'll have patterns for 12 swag sizes and 6 cascade sizes.
